St Luke’s Hospital site renamed ‘Woodside Square’

26.08.2015 The former St Luke’s Hospital site in Muswell Hill has been renamed ‘Woodside Square’ as development of our next exciting scheme gets underway.

161 new homes are being created at the site in a joint venture partnership between Hanover and Hill.

The development, valued at over £110 million, will see the site’s Grade II Listed hospital buildings transformed into beautiful heritage apartments, alongside 17 new townhouses, and a range of contemporary apartments in new buildings, which have been designed to blend sensitively within the landscaped six acre grounds.

Located just off Broadway, on Woodside Avenue, Woodside Square will overlook, two magnificent landscaped garden squares. The site also borders Highgate Woods and the name ‘Woodside Square’ has been chosen to reflect the area’s leafy suburban character.  

Woodside Gardens will include a mixture of beautiful apartments, and family townhouses. The new apartments will be for the over 55s community, many of whom are seeking to downsize.

Claire Anderson, who manages Hanover’s Downsizer Homes programme, said: “Woodside Square takes its inspiration from its physical position – situated by Woodside Avenue, and surrounded by greenery including its immediate neighbour, Highgate Wood. We hope that the name will resonate with local residents and help to identify Woodside Square as a positive and attractive new addition to Muswell Hill.”

Work is already underway at the site and the new homes are expected to be completed by the end of 2017.  The first homes will go on sale early in 2016 with the first residents anticipated to move in at the end of that year.
